All glass sold by Bob's Classic Auto Glass is of the highest quality. Color is made into the glass itself, we never use cheap films or spray-on colors. We can provide most of our glass products in clear or three standard colors.
NOTE: Color of glass varies from photos shown, actual color is lighter.
Clear
Just as the name implies, this is clear with no tinting.
Light Green (Easy Eye Green)
This is a very popular color, similar to many modern vehicles. This color helps reduce headlight glare and UV rays without reducing visibility.
Smoke Gray
Our gray glass allows only 44% of the light to pass through the glass. Recommended only for side and rear glass. Not street legal for windshields, we can provide smoke gray on show/parade cars only with a disclaimer that it is not street legal.
Yes. All of our windows are made from original factory templates and have been installed in hundreds of previous customers vehicles. As long as you let us know the year, make and model of your vehicle, there should be no problems. Occasionally mistakes are made and if that should ever happen, please give us a call and we will do our best to remedy the issue.
Your body style number will be on the body tag located under the hood of the vehicle on the firewall or cowl area.
A majority of sedans will have a metal post between the front and rear side glass, while a hardtop will not have a metal post. When the door glass is rolled down in a hardtop, there will be one big opening with no center post.
If you do not have any glass:
-
You’ll need to figure out how you will be doing the install, get your rubber gaskets because the rubber will change the fit of the glass.
-
Make patterns out of cardboard or thin wood. Physically install the carboard/wood pattern & then trace it following the instructions below.
If you have your glass:
-
Trace on any plain paper, Christmas paper works good for larger glass.
-
Trace with pen or pencil (no sharpie/markers), 1 line around, not multiple lines.
-
Include all pertinent information on your pattern name, address, phone number, and vehicle information.
-
Fold up & mail to Bob’s Classic Auto Glass.

All Bob's Classic Auto Glass shipments are carefully packaged and fully insured. We have been shipping auto glass for over 30 years and have developed a very good system of boxing our windows so that we rarely have any issues at all.
Our smaller glass kits ship by way of UPS and we ask that you inspect your shipment within 48 hours of delivery. If there is any breakage problems at all contact us immediately and we will file a claim with UPS and get a replacement window out for you at no cost whatsoever. Please inspect glass within 48 hours of arrival so that UPS will honor the insurance. We cannot guarantee replacement if you do not contact us right away. We do not ship to post office box or APO/FPO addresses.
All of our larger curved glass kits ship by way of Truck Freight. These shipments are packaged in a palletized crate, very well packed and also fully insured. Due to the size of the crates we prefer to ship to a commercial business address which is less expensive than to a residence, although residential delivery is available for an additional fee.
On any truck freight shipment, it is required that you inspect the glass upon arrival before the driver leaves. Do not sign the delivery manifest until you have inspected the glass because once you sign that means you are stating you have received the shipment without any damage and the insurance is then null and void. Please inspect the shipment upon arrival before signing the paperwork. If there should be damage to any of the glass in the shipment, have the driver make note of the damage on the manifest then go ahead and sign and accept the remaining undamaged windows.
Most of our items can ship internationally.
The buyer is responsible for contacting and coordinating the shipment with the forwarding agent. All freight is carefully crated and insured from our shipping location to the forwarding agent of your choice. The insurance we provide ends once the crate has arrived intact and been signed for by the forwarding agent, please make sure to ask the agent to inspect the glass on arrival for any damage. Your insurance with us ends at that point. You will be responsible for any insurance you require from the location of the forwarding agent to its final destination.
The crates we use to ship our products in are not made with treated wood so if the destination country requires treated wood the buyer will be responsible for any fumigation charges, etc., at the port of entry to satisfy any customs requirements. Please check with your customs officials to see what their requirements are so you do not experience any costly delays.
In order to help facilitate shipping to international locations we have put together a list of freight forwarders that some of our customers have used in the past. We are providing this information as a recommendation; we are not affiliated with any of the listed agents.
